As a Marketing Professional for Microsoft, I hear a lot of client discussions regarding Office 365 adaptability. One of the recent discussions was, "Sajin, our Sales Team is ready to go with Dock and Office 365, but our IT and top-level management has concerns regarding security features."

They're concerned about data breach, especially after the Facebook incident. We do have on-premise development too, but recommend going for Office 365 due to its available features like Skype for Business, Planner, Teams, Yammer etc. How do you encourage your team to use SharePoint Online/Office 365? There are couple of valid points that can help convince their executives and IT professionals to adopt Office 365.

#1. Security

I remember the conversation I had with Steve from a prominent chemical company few days ago. He says, "their in-house systems are more secure than Microsoft Cloud." I smiled at him and said, "Okay Steve, you belong to a Chemical company and what if a fire breaks out? You don’t even have a second chance to back up your existing files to another server, don’t you?"

Without any hesitation, I flipped up my phone and sent him an email with the below link:

Gartner recognizes Microsoft as a leader in enterprise integration

I don’t know how many of you trust Gartner. I certainly do, and glad Steve did too! Isn’t that why some of the leading Banks have chosen Office 365 as their enterprise platform for employee collaboration and communication? Now that’s a game changer!

#2. One Subscription – Multiple Features

I highly doubt any other platforms offer you with a bunch of features that is value for your money.

What's Your Favorite Platform, Office 365 or G Suite?

The Plans start from USD $5 per user per month and you get features such as Office 365 Groups, Microsoft Teams, Planner, Power Apps, Power BI, Microsoft Flow and much more! Great, isn’t it? It is indeed the best deal any user can get!

#3. Accessibility

I remember those old days where I had to use VPN to access SharePoint Server. Not anymore! Just logon to office portal and enter your username and password. Voila! You just logged in to the world of collaboration and work on your tasks easily. You can also access from your mobile device at anytime, anywhere.

#4. Worth every buck spent

You have the flexibility to sign up for pay per user per license model. Also, you have the option to downsize or upgrade the number of users too. What are the other benefits?

1. No more Server upgrade issues.

2. No hidden costs.

3. You get all the latest updates made available from Microsoft.

4. You can terminate the subscription anytime you want.

#5. Microsoft Updates – Getting better
