Your employees will need to engage in multiple events, activities, and tasks each day as part of completing projects. Scheduling and arranging all these activities without conflicts and scheduling errors is essential to get things done in the best way possible. By sharing your calendar in Outlook.com you can let other users add it to their calendar view. However, it depends on the type of permission you grant them that decide what they can do with the calendar. There are also options to publish the calendar and share the link with others.
Let’s give you few tips on how to make the most of the calendar sharing feature in Outlook.com.
How to Share Your Calendar
To share your calendar, click on the calendar icon at the bottom and select Share. Select the preferred calendar and enter the email address or name of the user with which you would like to do the sharing. There are also options to choose how you want the user to access the calendar. Choose Share after making the selections.
How to Change Calendar Sharing Permissions
To change the permissions of a shared calendar, you can go to the calendar by clicking the calendar icon from the bottom. Update the sharing settings by right-clicking on the calendar. Go to Sharing and permissions and edit the permissions setting appropriately.
Add A User’s Calendar to Your Calendar View
This option is valid when someone else is sending you an invite to share their calendar with you. Select Accept and you can also edit the name, color, etc. for achieving a customized look. There are also options to remove the calendar from your view.
Publish or Unpublish Your Calendar
To publish your calendar, go to Calendar settings by choosing Settings > View all Outlook settings. Choose Calendar > Shared Calendars. From Publish a calendar area, choose the calendar you want to publish, and the details you wish to show the users. Make your selections and select Publish. Choose Unpublish under the Publish a calendar area to unpublish the published calendar.
